iMovie Pharaoh Reflections

In humanities class, we had to make an iMovie about an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. My partner and I chose to do about King Tutankhamun (King Tut). Here's how I thought we did:

I think we had a good introduction about King Tut because we had a lot of background information including info about King Tut’s family. In terms of King Tutankhamun’s accomplishments, I think we did a good job because we wrote a lot about his tomb he built.

I think we did well with images because we had about 20-25 pictures. Our voices were clear and people were able to understand. The transitions in our i Movie were pretty good but we repeated some transitions.

Total Grade: 27/30

Stephanie and Kennedy - Hatshepsut

They had a good introduction; they included information about the date Hatshepsut started her reign. There voices were clear. Sometimes I couldn't understand what they were saying. They told us how she contributed to Ancient Egypt. There was some stuttering between the sentences, and there were no transitions. I think they could have improved that by practicing more and adding those transitions to make it more interesting.

Maria and Andrea - Ramses II

The introduction is good; it tells me when Ramses II ruled. The information is good, there voices are clear, and the pictures are also good quality. The facts were interesting and they also told us how he contributed to Ancient Egypt and what monuments he built. I think the information was good and also some pictures didn't always match what they were saying, but for the rest I think it was good!

Ashika and Alvin - Nefertiti

The introduction was ok but I think they could have done better because there introduction is about Ancient Egypt and not Nefertiti. The introduction also doesn't include the time period she ruled in, and that's supposed to be in the introduction. There voices were clear but sometimes they spoke VERY FAST. The pictures were good and matched what they said but I think they should have added more transitions. Otherwise it was good.

Na Young and John Khufu.

They had the introduction and everything about the date. They explained clearly how his greatest achievement was the Great Pyramid of Giza. The Great Pyramid of Giza also seems to be the greatest Architectural Achievement and that he might have made himself the Sun God "Ra". The pictures were slightly blurry. There were good transitions between their pictures so their video flowed smoothly.

City Connection

In class, all of my classmates did a small Presentation about a country that we call home. And I did Alexandria as I know more things in Alexandria and didn't know that much about Cairo.

I think I did well in searching the information and presenting my PowerPoint. I searched everywhere I could, and I also asked my mom and dad if they knew anything about Alexandria. In the end I collected all the information and put it all together in the PowerPoint. When I presented it I was excited and quite confident that I would get quite a good grade.I think I did well on creativity because I tried my best to make my presentation look good by making the letters move. I think I did well too on organization because I choose the right color font and I used bullet points and I explained my ideas pretty well. I had good pictures that helped me explain what I was trying to say.

I learned a lot about the cities that my class mates chose. For example Maria’s presentation, I learned how to say her city’s name, what their culture is, some history and so much more. I was very interested to learn a little about where my classmates are from or where they have lived.
